White water rafting down the Mae Taeng River offers the exhilarating challenge of battling out rapids on a steep and continuous mountain stream. Just an hour and a half’s drive from Chiang Mai, the River is especially wild during the rainy season months – May-October.
Definitely something worth pursuing if you want to get the adrenaline pumping! The second day of this tour involves a series of treks through the rainforest, the highlight being the ‘Flight of the Gibbon’, a three hour air trek involving zip lines and sky bridges, followed by lunch.
