The making of umbrellas in Bo Sang (Bor Sarng) village district is a handicraft occupation of the villagers which has made its name known throughout the country and abroad until the parasol has become one of the symbols of Chiang Mai.

At Bo Sang, the umbrella village on Sankamphaeng Road, you'll find plenty of hand-painted umbrellas made of delicate Sa paper (produced from the bark of the mulberry tree). Fans and other handmade products of Sa paper are also available in various designs and at reasonable prices

Take 45 min. boat ride and enjoying the scenery along the riverbank of Ping River. After boat trip continue to 'Sam Lor' or tricycle to Warorod Market, the first and famous market of Chiang Mai. Visit the market of flowers, local food, local produces before going back to the hotel by private car.
