Chiang Mai City Shopping
Where to Shop and What to Buy in Chiang Mai City
Being one of Asia primary handicraft centres, Chiang Mai is definitely a place you will leave with little if any spare room in your luggage. Nimmanhaemin Road is the place to head if you want to be in a spacious pleasant shopping environment; it’s comparable to shopping in a high-end suburb with its quality boutiques, antiques & furniture stores and art galleries. It has a distinct cosmopolitan vibe.
Central Department store is the closest you will get to the feeling of an urbanised Chiang Mai, with its air-conditioned malls playing host to brand stores and galleries. Wondering around the city, visitors will inevitably encounter a few unusual gems, which is part of the beauty of Chiang Mai; you’ll never know quite what you will find.
