2 Days 1 Night Chiang Mai Extreme
| Day 1: |
Trekking in the Huai Nam Dung National Park – Hill tribes village (Lunch, Dinner) Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and continue to the Huai Nam Dung National Park. We start a short trek to lunch and admire village life of the Karen Hilltribe in a village called Mae Jok. The afternoon trek lasts about 4 hours from with destination being a Red Karen village at Pa Khao Lam. Most of the trails are downhill in mixed forests. We would see paddy field which indicate the gateway to the village. We’ll stay the night here in the jungle style house as the Karens do. However, there are some facilities such as toilets and showers for this join house. You may be at leisure after dinner. |
| Day 2: |
Kayaking and whitewater rafting (Breakfast, Lunch) Having had breakfast, we’ll stroll in the village to see the life of the villagers. Our guide will give you instructions on how to paddle the kayak safety (we use rubber sit on kayak). The next 3 hrs will be for your soft adventurous surrounding on the beautiful forest until you arrive at our camp in Sob Kaai village. Afternoon, have a nice lunch at the camp. You’d be taken to some more instructions on paddling and river safety, staying in the raft. The voyage begins from here to the awaiting 14 rapids and gorges. Difficulty grade on Mae Tang River range from 3-4 and praised by tourists as one of the best in Asia. (10 km or about 2 hours) After the thrill, we arrive at Muang Keud downstream camp where you can change your dry clothes and have some refreshments before leaving for Chiang Mai. |
